Palmetto Farms Stoneground Grits

Goodness, a girl from NJ taking the time to rave about grits?  I disliked grits because all I ever saw were the grocery store type, the white grits you cook with water and put a tab of butter in the middle - how boring is that?  My husband brought a bag of Palmetto Farms Stoneground white corn grits home and I looked at him and said why?  Well there was a recipe on the back for shrimp and grits so I thought why not?  We made these grits with 1.5 cups of homemade chicken stock and 1.5 cups of milk, salt and pepper and then added very good white sharp chedder.  Followed the recipe on the back for shrimp and grits but added a few other ingredients and OMG, it was to die for.  Next Saturday, not knowing what to make for dinner, made it again but added sausage, more garlic and cooked the grits slower this time so they did not lump.  I had two helpings and am hording the left overs in the frig.
For anyone thinking about grits, this brand is the only brand you need to consider, order them online and cook them as directed using good stock and whole milk.  To die for!
